Prairie du Rocher is getting ready to celebrate its 300th birthday in 2022. As part of the village’s celebration, efforts are being made to create a book of stories.
The goal is to have 300 stories for the book, and the book project committee is asking for the public’s help in finding stories.
Heading up the book project are co-chairs Gerry Franklin and Dawn Walker.
“We’re kind of interested in everything,” Franklin noted about the type of stories they are looking for. Ranging from people, places, events and more from the village’s past and present, they want a wide variety of “unique” stories to feature in the book. And the stories don’t have to be long, as the book will be more of a “bathroom style reader” filled with lots of short, bite-sized stories.
