After a special meeting of the Red Bud City Council held on Monday night, it looks like the splash pad project can finally move forward a little bit more.
In the evening’s committee meetings, the agreement to have HMG Engineers Inc. apply for the City of Red Bud for an Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant to build a splash pad was again discussed.
This has been an item of contention for the council at several of their recent meetings, notably at their May 4 meeting when some of the aldermen wanted to know why Mayor Tim Lowry would not approve of the contract that had been approved at a special meeting on April 20.
