CHECK THIS OUT–Red Bud High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Kevin Cartee is pictured showing some of the features of the new TouchPro Interactive TV located in the school’s main gymnasium lobby.
Anyone who has visited Red Bud High School recently may have spotted an interesting television located in the main gymnasium lobby.
At first glance, it looks like the television features various sports pictures and school information, but it does so much more. Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Kevin Cartee recently met with the North County Newsto share some additional information about it.
The television is a TouchPro Interactive TV and functions much like a big iPad.
“I came across this product approximately six years ago at an athletic director conference. With the addition of the new gym and lobby, I felt it would be a nice addition to the new facility,” Cartee said.
The cost of the TouchPro was around $7,000, but the purchase was made possible by generous donations from the Class of 2016, Class of 2018 and the Norb Kassing Memorial Fund.
When not being accessed, it acts like a PowerPoint presentation, scrolling through pictures and showcasing the school’s Twitter feed and Google calendar. But, individuals can touch the screen and browse through a wide variety of pictures and information.
Currently, there are two tabs – one for athletics, and another for academics and activities.
