Board to approve Thursday
On Tuesday, July 28, Red Bud School District Superintendent Jonathan Tallman sent an email update to district parents noting the school district’s reopening plan for this fall.
Tallman reported that the Randolph County Department of Public Health, as well as the school district’s legal council had approved of their plan, which will now be discussed and approved at a special board of education meeting to be held in the high school’s gym at 5 p.m. this Thursday, July 30.
“I’d like to thank our reopening committee for their time and hard work. I’d also like to thank all of you for your input in our various surveys, as well as those that took the time to call me personally to discuss various questions and concerns. That open invitation to contact me about any questions/concerns still stands,” Tallman stated in the email.
In addition to sharing the proposed reopening plan for the district, Tallman also noted that another survey will be sent out to parents soon. He, along with District Nurse Tammy Kueker, Elementary Principal Ryan McClellan and High School Principal Alan Guehne, will hold a Facebook Live event to discuss the plan and answer questions. A date/time has not been set yet for the Facebook Live event.
