While they had originally planned to approve at their meeting on Dec. 17 the adding of weighed grades to Red Bud High School, the Red Bud Board of Education will be waiting another month on the matter.
RBHS Principal Alan Guehne asked the board to wait until their next meeting before approving. “We discovered it’s a great idea, but learned there is a potential for a lot of unfairness.”
So, Guehne noted that they will be looking into it further to see when they should implement the weighted grades and with what class year to start it.
“We want to roll out in a way that benefits the most without hurting,” he told the board. “We want to be as fair as possible.”
