Santa only has a few scheduled visits left in the area before he returns to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas.
This Friday night, Dec. 18 and Sunday night, Dec. 20, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., are the last nights of the season for Santa’s Village. This year it is a drive through experience.
Those wanting to visit with Santa should enter the line from East South 6th Street (by St. John’s Lutheran School), and proceed north down Bloom Street. The line will wind through the city hall parking lot (entering on the city hall end) and exit out onto East South 1st Street. There will be Santa’s Village volunteers helping direct traffic.
And then to help send Santa off, next week the Red Bud Beautification Committee will again be hosting “Santa’s Sleigh Ride,” where Santa will be escorted by the Red Bud Fire Department or Red Bud Police Department through parts of town on his sleigh.
The schedule, weather permitting, is Monday, Dec. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 22 when Santa will travel through Red Bud. Each night, Santa will head out from Santa’s Village at the city hall at 5:30 p.m. (There is a rain out day scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 23 if needed.)
