Red Bud tree lighting ceremony is Friday; was rescheduled due to weather

Due to bad weather last Friday night, the Red Bud Community Tree Lighting Ceremony was postponed and will be held this Friday night, Nov. 30.

At the event, Santa will finally make his grand appearance in Red Bud.

The ceremony will start at 6 p.m. in the Red Bud City Hall Park. Come watch as Santa and his special helper magically light the Red Bud “Rockefeller” Christmas Tree.

Following the ceremony Santa will be available to visit with children in Santa’s Village (located in the Red Bud City Hall Park) until 8 p.m. He’ll be happy to listen to the lists of all the good boys and girls of any age.

There will be free carriage rides as well as music provided by Tim Berg and the Kurtz Brothers. Balloon art by Diane Cross, the Balloonatic, will also be available.

For more information on the tree lighting ceremony, please see this week’s print edition.
