Red Bud cross country hosts a home meet

Last Thursday, the 8th, Red Bud hosted a four school meet. This was the first home meet to be held at the North County Country Club in many years. RBHS Athletic Director, Kevin Cartee, took the initiative to organize and set up the meet. It was a big success! Attending the meet were: Red Bud, Metro East Lutheran, Dupo and Valmeyer.

For the girls team: Red Bud had seven runners in the top 10 finish. Adrienne Vallett was again in a class of her own, running to the first place finish by a minute and a half. Merideth Whelan followed behind to take second. Simone Liefer was fourth, Kenzie Hahn fifth, Harlie Braun eighth, Kamry Koester ninth, Anna Wolter tenth and Lauren Myerscough rounded out the team in 20th. Red Bud girls took first place team with 20 points and Dupo second with 48 points.

For the boys: Nick Fehr took second, out paced by 11 seconds by Metro East’s lead runner. Ethan Summers was in sixth place, Warren Stolte 12th and Joseph Hanger 14th. Metro East took first place team and Valmeyer second.
