The Red Bud City Council held a brief special meeting following their committee meetings on Monday, Nov. 18.
Only two items were on the agenda – renewals of the city’s insurance policies and donating to the Red Bud Police Department’s Cops and Kids at Christmas program.
During the committee meetings, it was noted that the property, workers’s comp and boiler policies were up for renewal and needed to be approved prior to Dec. 1, thus the need for that evening’s special meeting.
The renewals were approved with no further discussion.
As for the Cops and Kids at Christmas program, the item was dropped from the special meeting’s agenda.
During committee meetings, Police Chief John Brittingham had asked the council to consider donating to the program.
