The residents of Garden Place Independent Living in Red Bud were not able to leave their facility nor have anyone enter the building during the COVID-19 shutdown. Recently they have been able to go outside for personal visits and socially-distanced group activities. In July and August, Pastor Mark Nebel of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud held outdoor Lutheran Holy Communion services outside of the front door. These monthly outdoor services will continue until it is safe for them to be held back inside. He and the residents of Garden Place appreciate the staff for making these services possible.
