On Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, Oliver Liefer, loving husband and father of five children, passed away at the age of 84 at Herrin Hospital, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. A private Rite of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Fr. Mark Reyling officiating. Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements.
