A special meeting was held by the Red Bud Board of Education on June 29 to address some personnel changes.
The biggest of which was the hiring of the new high school principal. Approved for the position was Alan Guehne.
Superintendent Jonathan Tallman noted that Guehne has been the assistant principal at Waterloo High School for six years. “He brings a wealth of experience,” Tallman stated, adding that Guehne also values building relationships with the community.
Tallman told the board that they had 12 candidates for the position, interviewing each as they came in. Of the candidates, Guehne quickly rose to the top.
Board member Rick Stenzel wished Guehne a successful and long career in Red Bud. The rest of the board agreed.
