New chief for the Red Bud Fire Department

CHANGE IN CHIEF–After serving as the fire chief for 10 years, Kevin Miller has stepped down. Sean Landgraf, at right, will now be serving as the fire chief for the Red Bud Fire Department.

Red Bud has a new fire chief as Kevin Miller stepped down last week after serving in the position for the past 10 years. Taking up the position of chief is Sean Landgraf.

“It’s been an honor to serve the City of Red Bud as chief,” Miller said. “The 33 years I have been on the department has been an honor and fun.”

He added that stepping down as chief was a long thought out decision, but he felt it was time and the department is in a good place for him to do so. “I realized it was a good time to pass it on. We have a good crew of officers that will keep the fire department moving forward.”

He continued, “Sean is ready to take over. I’ve been working with him for several years, mentoring him. He’s well trained and versed in things. He expressed interest in becoming chief and we moved towards this day together.”
