Four people were injured in a crash on State Route 159 south of Hecker last Friday evening.
According to reports, a two vehicle crash with injuries took place on State Route 159 near LL Road around 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17. It was also noted that it was raining at the time of the incident.
Among those responding to the crash were the Red Bud Fire Department, Monroe County EMS and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Police reported that a 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by Jazmyn Diesen, 22, of Belleville, was traveling south on State Route 159 and drove on standing water, spinning out of control and crossing the center line. When the vehicle crossed the center line, it also struck a northbound 2011 Ford Edge driven by Ryan Muench, 33, of Red Bud.
Muench and his passenger Breanna Muench, 33, of Red Bud, were reported to have various injuries. Diesen and her passenger Abigail Kroener, 21, of Oakdale, were reported to have received minor injuries.
