
Monroe County is mourning the loss of one of their county commissioners this week as Ronald L. Schultheis passed away on Monday, March 30.
Monroe County Clerk Jonathan McLean announced the passing of Schultheis in a news release that afternoon.
“It is with deepest sympathy that I announce Monroe County Commissioner Ron Schultheis has passed away from his ongoing health battle,” McLean stated. “Please keep his wife, Sue, his daughters and their spouses, grandchildren, and siblings in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
A former Red Bud city superintendent passed away over the weekend.
Raymond L. Mitchell, 85, passed on Sunday, March 29. He had served as the city’s superintendent for 12 years.
