PARTICIPATE IN BENEFIT–Members of the community came together on Saturday to participate in the Miracles for Meilyn 5K/1K Run and Walk Adoption Benefit for Drew and Jenna Schneider and family. Design Fitness hosted the event and RODS (Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome) organization matched all funds raised. Red Bud Pizza Hut also held a fundraiser on Saturday for the Schneider family. The benefit will help cover the adoption fees and medical costs to bring the Schneider’s two year old daughter home from China. Pictured are walk and run participants.

This incredible community has come together once again to support a local family. The citizens of Red Bud and the surrounding communities showed up in big ways to help support Drew and Jenna Schneider and their three sons, Nolan, Griffin and Hudson in their journey to bring their daughter home from China. The Miracles for Meilyn 5K, bake sale and Pizza Hut fundraiser day was a huge success. So many people came out to support, participate and help with the event and the Schneider family will be forever grateful. Meilyn is currently living in an orphanage in China. She is diagnosed with Down Syndrome and a heart condition. They hope to welcome their daughter into their family in August and are so excited to give her the love she deserves.

“We will never be able to thank everyone enough for every part you have played in the love it is taking to bring Meilyn home,” said the Schneiders.
