Making Masks

In an effort to help others, 13 men incarcerated at Menard Correctional Center are sewing masks to help protect everyone at the department from COVID-19. So far, Menard’s Illinois Correctional Industries’ shop has produced 5,000 masks. The shop is able to complete approximately 1,800 masks per day. Menard is one of two correctional centers producing masks (Centralia is the other). Now, the men at Menard are also constructing long-sleeved jumpsuits.
