DECORATED LAMP POST–While the classes at Red High School weren’t able to decorate homecoming floats this year, they did decorate lamp posts as part of the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce’s lamp post decorating contest. Pictured is the lamp post that the senior class decorated.
Starting on Oct. 1, decorative lamp posts started popping up in Red Bud. And the posts can be spotted all over town, not just in the downtown area.
The fun fall themed lamp posts are part of the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce’s annual fall decorative lamp post contest.
And now that the posts are up, the chamber is asking the public for their help in deciding which decorative lamp post is the best.
Voting officially opened last Saturday and anyone can vote on which lamp post they like the best through Oct. 30 at 4 p.m.
All are invited to go for a walk or drive around town to check out all the lamp posts. Pictures of all the lamp posts included in the competition can be viewed on the chamber’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/red.b.chamber.
