Another local youth wrestler has earned the prestigious Metro Trinity Belt award.
Danny Jackson, 9, of Red Bud, was one of the winners of the award this year.
This award is presented by the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation (IKWF) to wrestlers that take first place finishes at three specific tournaments held in southern Illinois in the 2018-19 wrestling season. Those tournaments were: Belleville Little Devils Open on Dec. 21, the Granite City Kids Holiday Classic Dec. 29 and the O’Fallon Panther Pummel on Feb. 15.
