An incident was reported at the public swimming pool in Red Bud on Friday, June 14.
On the official City of Red Bud Facebook page, it was noted that emergency services were called to the pool for a potential drowning.
Red Bud Fire Chief Kevin Miller noted that MedStar was already on scene when the fire department’s first responders arrived, and they helped transport the individual.
Red Bud Police Chief John Brittingham added that the lifeguards at the pool did a great job in handling the incident.
The city’s post, which was made on the afternoon of Saturday, June 15 added, “The individual is expected to make a full recovery and is planned to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. A special thank you to the YMCA staff who did an amazing job as well as all of the emergency services personnel who assisted with the call.”
As the incident was a medical call, the individual’s name, age or any other identifying information has not been released.
