Hedwig C. “Heddy” (Macke) Birkner, 95, of New Athens, passed away Sept. 21, 2020, in Belleville. A drive through visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Hecker with Father Von Deeke and Father Linus Umoren C.M. officiating.
