The Red Bud Regional Hospital Healthy Circle Organization will have six of its members traveling on an Honor Flight from Veterans Airport in Marion, to Washington, D.C. on the morning of Tuesday, May 14. These local veterans will visit memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends, and all are invited to welcome them home at this once-in-a-lifetime event.
A charter bus will leave Red Bud Ratz Memorial Park at 4:30 p.m., arriving at the airport at approximately 6 p.m. There will be food trucks on-site (food for purchase), music and patriotism abound. The welcome home ceremony will begin at approximately 7:45 p.m. and the parade of honor will commence with the return of the veterans from Washington at 8:30 p.m. The bus will depart the airport at approximately 9:30 p.m. with a return to Red Bud at approximately 11 p.m. Please be sure to dress comfortably, bring a jacket and lawn chairs. Everyone is welcome to join.
Bus ticket for the trip is $25/person. Seats will be reserved on a first come, first paid basis. Payments can be made in cash in person or by check payable to Red Bud Regional Hospital mailed to the attention of Healthy Circle Advisor Julie Hudson, 325 Spring Street, Red Bud, IL 62278. Deadline for reservations is no later than Friday, April 19.
