Gariglietti to retire from KRPD

RETIRING–Donna Gariglietti has been the secretary of the Kaskaskia Regional Port District for 36 years and is retiring at the end of this month. Pictured is KRPD Chairman George Obernagel recognizing Gariglietti for her 36 years of service to the port district.

Donna Gariglietti, after 36 years of service to the Kaskaskia Regional Port District, has decided to retire at the end of November. She has been a very dependable employee of KRPD and has seen the organization grow over those years.

She has worked with all the KRPD general managers that have held that position. She worked with Stanley Reeble, SIMAPC, John Huetsch, George Andres and Ed Weilbacher. She witnessed the acquisition of KRPD #2 and the development from a greenfield site to the industrial park of today. In addition she saw grain being shipped from Evansville and the new terminals at Fayetteville and Kellogg become part of the KRPD portfolio of terminals.

For 31 years she worked out of the US Post Office Building until the move to the current office on North Main Street in Red Bud.

“She has been here through the good times and the lean times with the Port District,” noted George Obernagel, chairman of the port district.
