The Illinois State Police and the Randolph County Coroner’s Office reported a fatal accident on South Prairie Road on Monday.
According to the state police’s report, they responded to a one vehicle crash on South Prairie Road, just south of Ohlwine Road around 7:58 a.m.
It was noted that James A. Douglas II, 35, of Coulterville, had been southbound on South Prairie Road in a 2003 Dodge Caravan when the vehicle left the roadway on the right, traveling behind the guardrail, where the van struck the ditch embankment with its front end.
