Evansville looks at energy savings

An executive session, energy savings and water issues were big items of discussion at Monday night’s Evansville Village Board meeting.

The evening’s meeting started off with an executive session. It was noted that the executive session would cover “the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a compliant lodge against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity,” as well as what was noted as related “public safety concerns.”

Invited into the executive session with the board was attorney Jordan Gremmels, from Fisher, Kerkhover, Coffey & Gremmels Law Office (the village’s legal counsel), as well as Evansville Fire Chief Mike Hanna.

After about 15 minutes, the board returned to regular session, with Village President Erwin “Red” Becker stating that no decision was made. No additional information about what was specifically discussed was given.
