Evansville board divided on project

Plans for motor fuel funds left the Evansville Village Board divided at their Nov. 9 meeting.

The proposal for the 2021 motor fuel projects came in at $11,100. Included in the estimate was weed killer, rental of a DuraPatcher, two culvert replacements and to repair a section of Liberty Street.

Trustee Kenny Kempfer asked if it would be possible to get an estimate on some curb and gutter work and have it added to the proposal. He pointed out that it made more sense to do the curb and guttering work at the same time as the street repair, instead of having to tear up part of the street to do it later.

He stressed that they have been talking about doing this for months, and it needs to get done.

Trustee Darren Kempfer agreed, suggesting that they get an estimate and add it in to the motor fuel project if they could.
