Randolph County Emergency Management Agency officials are asking for donations of breathing masks, specifically the N-95 model, as well as other personal protective equipment, including gowns, face shields and latex gloves.
Anyone who can donate is asked to call Randolph County EMA Coordinator Mike Hoelscher at 618-559-7525 or Assistant EMA Coordinator Rick Grah at 618-615-1330.
Donated items can be taken to the Randolph County Health Department, which also houses the EMA offices, at 2515 State Street in Chester.
Hoelscher and Grah said they will pick up the items if that is more convenient for donors.
Hoelscher added that he and Grah are working to have necessary supplies delivered from the state.
The county’s emergency operations center remains open on a limited basis.
