RALLY RAFFLE A SUCCESS–Despite not having the full Rally on the River event this year, the rally’s raffle was still deemed a success. Pictured getting ready to draw out the raffle winners on July 4 are Rally Co-Chairs Mark McConachie and Bob Myerscough, along with Chelsea Hall and Jordan Conner who helped by drawing out the winning tickets.
Despite not holding the annual Rally on the River event this year, the Evansville Knights of Columbus were still able to raise a considerable amount to donate to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
The event is usually held Memorial Day weekend and also features a salute to veterans, but due to COVID-19 this year the rally had to be canceled. However, as the Knights had already printed the raffle tickets for the rally they went ahead with the raffle.
Rally on the River Co-Chairman Mark McConachie noted that the raffle was an “amazing success.” He added, “We had tremendous support, (and raised) above and beyond what we thought we’d do.”
This year, the raffle alone raised $11,000 for Cardinal Glennon. (For reference, the full rally event raised $17,000 last year.)
