It may be a reduced schedule this year, but Cross Country Coach Julie Fehr is excited the team will have a season.
“I am grateful to the IHSA and our local AD’s, school boards and Health Department for working together to make a season possible for us. It means more than they will ever know to our athletes and to us coaches. We are seeing schools pull together and look out for one another in creative ways to give these athletes a chance to run safely and still be competitive,” said Coach Fehr.
The season is just 10 weeks compared to the typical 13 weeks and meets are limited to 50 or less runners/coaches/managers combined. The competition has to be within the conference or within Region 4 which changes the competition level in the regular season due to missing the large invitationals.
