Not much was on the agenda for the Randolph County Board of Commissioners at their Oct. 4 meeting, leading to a quick meeting.
County Engineer Mike Riebeling presented the commissioners with memorandum of understanding with the laborer’s union. He noted that last summer, the union received a one percent raise on their wages, but they would like that to be switched over to annuity now.
The commissioners agreed to make the change.
Board Chairman David Holder also noted that while the amount involved is really small, it actually benefits the county to make the change as they would not have to pay payroll taxes on that amount.
Riebeling also presented the commissioners with an engineering agreement with Thouvenot, Wade and Moerchen in the amount of $14,500 (lump sum) for the engineering work to replace the bridge over Little Mill Creek on Rockwood Road.
