The Missouri Department of Transportation on June 2 reported that Missouri Route 51 in Perry County will be reduced with a 10 foot width restriction as contractor crews perform bridge inspections for the Chester Bridge, which goes over the Mississippi River into Illinois.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
