While the work to repair and replace the railroad crossing on State Route 154 by the Baldwin Bridge was originally scheduled to start on Monday, Oct. 28, it was reported late last week that the project had been delayed a few days.
Kaskaskia Regional Port District (KRPD) General Manager Ed Weilbacher told theNorth County Newsthat the project had an unanticipated change and was delayed until Wednesday, Oct. 30.
It wasn’t until almost noon on Monday of this week that the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) sent out a press release regarding the change.
The new scheduled closure for State Route 154 at the KRPD railroad crossing is from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
