Bailey Fulton, a sophomore at Red Bud High School, and Gracie Shemwell, a seventh grader at Red Bud Elementary, both auditioned and won seats in the Illinois Music Education Association District 6 Band.
For the past two weekends, they participated in this year’s virtual festival. In order to earn a seat in these bands, they submitted auditions and competed against students from all across southern Illinois.
