Annual Firemen’s Picnic a success

FIRST PLACE FLOAT–Winning the title of being named the top float in this year’s Red Bud Firemen’s Parade was the “60 Years Strong” float by Red Bud Industries. For more pictures from the picnic and parade, please see this week’s print edition.

Even with high temperatures last weekend, the 91st annual Red Bud Firemen’s Picnic was a successful event.

The winners of the annual Fireman’s Picnic Raffle were: Marge Pautler, first place, $1,200; Elaine Schulte, second place, $500; and Jim Schluter, third place, $300.

This year, a total of 36 teams participated in the firemen’s bags tournament. The total prize payout for the tournament was $1,000.

Winning first place and $500 was the team of Bryson Jacobs and Ryan Windsor. Second place and $300 went to Mark Ruebusch and Nathan McCarthy.

Third place and $150 was awarded to Daren Mantz and Sean Baum. Fourth place and $50 went to Rick Gauch and Joe Gomerac.
